Once Upon Us turns two photos into an AI-illustrated, interactive story-gift. These terms cover what you're agreeing to when you use it. It's a small, independent product, we've tried to keep this readable.

The service

You give us two photos, some names and dates, and a few words for a letter. We use AI to paint character portraits and a six-scene illustrated story around them, then publish it at a private link you can share. The full story unlocks with a one-time $29 purchase, handled through Gumroad, our merchant of record, they process your payment and we never see your card details.

Consent and photos

You must have the consent of every person appearing in any photo you upload. This service is for adults only, do not upload photos of minors as gift subjects, for any reason. By uploading a photo, you're confirming both of these things.

About the artwork

The portraits and scenes are AI-generated art, not photographs, they may not perfectly resemble the people they're based on. That's why you approve your portraits before paying anything, with a few free portrait re-rolls included. After purchase, re-rolls remain available for portraits and scenes up to a cap of three per gift. Because each gift is custom-made art produced on demand, all sales are final and purchases are non-refundable.

What's not allowed

No nudity, no impersonating someone without their consent, no harassment, and nothing meant to intimidate or demean another person. We may remove any gift that violates these terms, with or without notice.

Your gift page

Published gift pages are unlisted, they're excluded from search engines, but anyone who has the link can view them. Treat the link the way you'd treat the gift itself, and share it only with the person it's for.
